The Saglev team took a well-deserved break to refresh, unwind, and simply enjoy each other’s company in a less formal atmosphere at Jara Beach Resort in Lagos.
As expected, we pulled up in style. The team arrived in one of Saglev’s proudly assembled thirty six seater electric City Buses, gliding effortlessly into Ibeju Lekki.
The Saglev city bus did not just turn heads; it made a statement. With battery options of 80 kWh, 163 kWh, and 180 kWh and a range that comfortably stretches up to 360 kilometers even in a full-load scenario of 310 kilometers, the machine handled the long trip across Lagos like it was a quick dash down the street.

Powered by pure electric torque that peaks at 245, 285 and 300 Nm across its three city bus variants, the quiet hum of the motor became its own kind of show.
No fumes, no noise, no struggle. Just clean, confident movement that reminded everyone why Saglev is leading the charge in sustainable mobility.

The day rolled on with food, games, and the calm seaside scenery working overtime to reset everyone’s nerves ahead of the new year. Even our CEO dropped the usual executive mode and slipped into full youth behavior. He laughed, played, joined charades, and even jumped into quiz battles with the kind of energy people usually reserve for KPI bonuses.
The writer of this piece did not have the smoothest day though. Recovering from an illness meant the sumptous two square meals served at the resort were mostly admired from a distance. But trust there was still enough strength to enjoy the snacks and cocktails. One must not suffer completely.

Across the resort, different groups scattered into their preferred games. Some went for board games, others chose table tennis, volleyball or basketball. At one point, every team member was asked to mimic the Saglev CEO, the ever approachable Dr Sam Faleye, a leading voice in electromobility across Africa. The imitations were hilarious and definitely moments people will remember. It also reminded everyone why he is loved as a true people person.
After the laughter came the closing remarks from the CEO and the final round of group photos before the trip back home.
